How to use Affiliate Sledgehammer to Make More Money (Part 4)
In the last installment (part 3 you can click here to get to it) we talked about the keywords and raw data items available to you for the creation of your affiliate page content. In this final tutorial, we will discuss some techniques and tools that Affiliate Sledgehammer gives you to create your own content directly from what is found here.
Now you can create content by a simple copy and paste operation from the content pages here, however if you have decided that a particular product is something you want to promote, it would be a lot easier if you could somehow get all the raw content from this site and start there – moving, changing and eliminating/adding items until you have the page you desire.
It would also be nice if you could automatically add your affiliate links, redirects, and even direct to fulfillment links for those products whose sales pages are frankly “not of high quality”. Another reason you may want to avoid the sales pages of a product is that the merchant is stealing your contacts of the traffic you bring to his site – it is not illegal, but certainly not ethical for a merchant to attempt to add your customers to his list by having an opt in at his affiliate sales pages!
Here is a quote from “Alexa Smith” from the Warrior forum that pretty much tells the story about ethical vs non-ethical (or mis-informed) vendors/merchants:
The reality is that all an ethical vendor needs to do is to recognize that his more serious, professional successful affiliates, having generated the potential customer with their skills, work, effort, time, energy and resources, want the lead on their list, not on the vendor’s list – and provide a choice of sales pages: one with an opt-in and one without an opt in. It’ll take him about 10 minutes to do that.
If you can just create a better sales-page and redirect the sale to the payment page without going through the merchant – then you can still promote the product, but protect your list building efforts. (In the future, this kind of data will also be captured by Affiliate Sledgehammer to give you even more knowledge of the products you are promoting.)
Obviously if you can avoid the problem altogether by writing better pages and simply going directly to the fulfillment page, then why not do that for vendors you are just not sure about?
At any rate, how does a member get all of this great data at once?
You can create an rss feed formatted, or XHTML “envelope” that holds all of the data and send it to your email or grab it like a feed by using the generate form at the bottom of each product listing. You get it all – the data, statistics, links, text, images, audios, videos, etc. Now you have the parts to build the whole – and you are far ahead of your competitors because they are still searching around for everything.
If you already have a themed conduit, review, or other type of affiliate promotional site, this data is then plugged into your product “slots”, and you add your own quality content – thereby putting yourself way ahead of your competitors!
SPECIAL NOTE! Affiliate Sledgehammer is currently in BETA testing mode as the large amount of software is continuing to be tested, extended, and made available. Currently everything on this site is free – however if you click through to a product shown here while in the product review pages, and then purchase that product, my affiliate links will be active, obviously I deserve compensation. When paid membership is available, that will no longer be the case for paid members (obviously) – it will be your affiliate links. The content generator will use your links in all cases, but I wanted to make this completely clear.
Until then, Keep Pounding!
