A Different Angle Works! When you have selected a product or service to promote as an affiliate marketer, you need to find a way to define yourself so that you don’t end up looking exactly like all of your competition.

Within you niche, you need to discover all of the angles you can use to show your product off and make it rise above the fray. This means you have to do some things that the others simply are not willing to do (that is usually the case). You need your promotions of a product to pop – even more so that the actual merchants sales pages!

You don’t just want to promote this to your list, your readers or your prospects just once – you need to show them multiples of these varying angles. You need to Lead them in a different way each time. Here is how to do that:

  • Offer tips, resources, articles, reports, or e-books (hey, I just offered you a tip list!)
  • Use test results, surveys, or studies to segue into your promotion.
  • Offer a Question and answer session, or web-meet asking why certain prospects are on the fence.
  • Use a WARNING: and tell about a common error that people make.
  • Testimonials. These are always a powerful technique.
  • Use a Case Study as an introduction.
  • Discuss common objections, then counter them with powerful, in-depth resolutions.
  • Write a story with dialog about the product, using a revealing scenario.
  • Use historical stories or current news stories as a tie-in.
  • Provide samples (if applicable)
  • Use comparisons as in reviews, but do it in a less formal discussion format.
  • Use the element of surprise to get people reading, and talk about this.
  • Point out different benefits in your messages.
  • Use a test yourself type quiz and discuss the answers.
  • Use a specialized (niche) situation and show how this product/service fits so well.

The bottom line is to engage your readers so that they become so interested that they want to buy. That is the essence of creating compelling content that will convert to real sales!

Keep Pounding!
