You know your niche inside and out, and you know what works and what does not…

It makes you mad when you see others advertising in you niche products and services you know are fake, false, misleading or dangerous…what you can do?

Use their marketing efforts to turn your own around. If you do affiliate marketing (and if you are here you probably do), then you know that the products you are marketing are the best (or at least you should).

The problem is many of your customers are clueless… they are “unsophisticated” and can easily fall for a bad marketing ploy, and then it makes it so much hard for you to sell them a good product. The problem is they are searching for things, you as a professional, know will not work.

So how do you combat the charlatans that are cashing in in your niche?

The answer is simple: Study those charlatans – look at their methods. What keywords are they using to suck up the unsuspecting traffic? Identify the words and phrases that the unsuspecting customer is searching for and then use it in a “turn around” phrase in your own advertising! Use it in a headline, a press release, a blog post on your review site…whatever!

Here are some examples:

Why You Can’t Play the Guitar in Three Days… and other secrets from a world class musician.

Guess what? When you put these kinds of headlines in the middle of the mass of charlatans and other marketers who are trying to get the fast buck, you stand out like a bright beacon. Why? Because you force the masses looking for your product to question what they think they know! When they do this, their caution flags go up, and you rise in their estimation as an authority.

It is still up to you to make sure you are and authority – and then you can make the sale!
